We're going to the Little League World Series. We just watched our nephew's team win their regional tournament. The problem is that all of the hotels/motels are booked and the parents were told that they have to provide their own accomodations. The closest we've found is in Danville - 30 miles away or so and it can't be booked for the entire time. We currently live in Philly, but don't know the rest of PA. Any info on places for the families to stay would be appreciated.

Thanks

  1. Any hotel within 50 miles of Williamsport would most likely be booked that during the Little League World Series.  It happens every year.

Check Lewisburg, Shamokin Dam, Hummels Wharf, Bloomsburg, or Mansfield.

  2. I don't know if you checked into Lewisburg, PA or not.  Lewisburg is a charming little town just half an hour south of Williamsport on Route 15, and I know there are several different places to stay there.

If you can't find accommodations in Lewisburg, the next place I'd look is in Shamokin Dam and Selinsgrove.  This area is also on Route 15, a little past Lewisburg, and is just under an hour south of Williamsport.

If none of those options work for you, my final suggestion would be to check the Comfort Inn in Mansfield, PA.  Mansfield is roughly an hour north of Williamsport on Route 15, shortly before you get to the New York border.  That should definitely be far enough away from the Little League families but still close enough to drive down.
