  1. It really depends on where your going to ski or board. If your going to Brighton, Alta, Solitude or Snowbird stay in Salt Lake, there are lots of hotels. But if your skiing Park city  don't stay in Salt Lake. It's a 45 minute drive and a difficult one if you aren't used to mountain driving. If your skiing Deer Valley, stay at the Deer Valley resort or Stein Erikson and those are going to be the most expensive. Going to Park City Mountain (my personal fav.) is the easiest as far as accommodations go. I recommend the Marriott, The Silver King Hotel or the Hotel Park City. But my personal favorite is the Park Avenue Condos. They're pretty big and you can walk to the resort easy. Hope that helped!

  2. Depends if you want to stay on the mountain (slopeside) or in the valley.  Slopeside has the advantage of you can get up in the morning, get dressed and walk to the lifts. If you want to ski Snowbird, you stay at the Cliff Lodge. If you don't mind driving, you can stay in the valley (Sandy, Midvale etc).  This costs much less, but it does not have the same feel as staying on the mountain.

  3. I am going in early april and i am going to stay at the cheapest hotel.  Carriage house nearby all resorts.

  4. If you are looking to cut costs, Salt lake City is the ticket. Decent hotel rooms can be had for $60 maybe less. I usually stay at the Embassey Suites in SLC - I think it is around $129 per night, but they have a cook to orfer breakfast and two hour happy hour (free beer wine soda and snacks). From SLC it is less than an hour from most of the major ski areas, Snowbird alta solitude brightn park city canyons and deer valley. Snowbasin, powder mtn, sundance are just over an hour. Not much night life in SLC but there are OK restuaruants and after a day of skiing the trees and powder who needs night life.

    Hope this helps.

  5. In a hotel.
