  1. I think they have one of those "Flowrider" wave machines there.  Only consistent waves you're ever going to get on the Lake of Mexico.

  2. The surf isn't good but surf at the pier.  You won't get super tubes but you can get wind swells on a regular basis.  There is still a lot of construction going on from the hurricane a few years back but it doesn't impact the waves.  If you stop at  Yancy Spenser's Inner Light Surfboards near the island they can tell you about a couple of other spots where there are waves.  I've surfed both at the pier and in Denton.

  3. Pensacola has no "good" spots to surf. It is on the Gulf of Mexico and has minimal surf unless there is a storm out at sea. Best case is you have 2' waves that break relatively close to shore.

  4. There is no place to surf in Pensacola. I know some of the Gulf of Mexico surfers who read these things disagree with me, but the truth is, there is really only surf on the east coast of Florida (north of the Bahamas). However, if you do go to the beach on one of those few lucky days, you might get something to ride.
