Where to throw a tea party ?

Well, me and my friends are going to have a tea part, and we are thinking of having it at a hotel. What are some other ideas as to where we should have it, or is a hotel alright? (We're thinking of the sheraton hotel or Holiday express)

A garden tea party would be great.  Perhaps one of your friends might have a nice garden/yard.  You might also try renting a place such as a nursery with a garden.

If you have a beautiful garden, why not have your tea party there? A patio can also be okay, as long as it’s spacious enough. Terraces that overlook a beautiful view are also appropriate venues.

Aside from where you’ll be setting up your table, you also need to think about the table itself. Unless your table is spotless and has a beautiful design, make sure you have beautiful linens and a tablecloth to cover it to add to your party’s mood. A bare tabletop only looks drab, tacky and uninspiring.

A true tea party is a little fancy so I dont know about a holiday express.  Just the idea of going to a hotel for a tea party kinda turns me off.  Like others were saying, have it outside with nice lawn furniture like wicker or some places that do wedding receptions also do tea parties too.  Also if you have a friend that has an old big house and a big dining room with a big dining room table then you could use that.

How about at a day spa facility?  Many spas and salons offer a lounge room where they will serve your guests tea while you get pedicures, or before or after.

What about a great bed and breakfast? They rent out rooms and have gorgeous gardens usually!

I was just invited to a tea party at a place called "La Tea Da" (in Staten Island, NY). They have them in a few different cities. I don't know where you live but try googling that name or just "tea room" in your city.
