  1. I'm not familiar with France but if you want to go visit museums or so in Germany, you do not need to book anything in advance. It would be helpful to print out adresses, phone numbers and maps of where you want to go so you don't lose much time to get there.

Nice places to go see in Germany though would be Berlin, Leipzig, Heidelberg or Nuremberg and probably Munich. Hit me up if you need further info.

  2. There's no need to prebook any museums in France.  When visiting the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower it pays to do it early in the day to avoid the crowds and long queues.

  3. You can get your tickets to the Louvre in advance and there are several entrances so you don't have to stand in line.  Don't go in the main entrance.  With the Eiffel Tower, go early (like someone else said) and it doesn't really matter which line you stand in, they're all long. If you want to go to the top of the Arc de Triomphe you should go at night because you can get an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower at night.  The Eiffel Tower sparkles every hour on the hour for 15 minutes and it's beautiful!  (They did it for the millenium.)  Most places will be very busy in the summer, so get ready to wait.  I recommend going in the fall.  Versailles is ridiculous in the summer, but very pleasant in October.
