I'm looking for a place in Queens Village, NY to volunteer. It must accept children younger than 14, (a 13 year old). The volunteer cannot work for more than two hours at a time. The work must be a continuing event (ex: every Friday from 4pm to 6pm)

  5. I don't know. But i commend you for wanting to volunteer

your time. There ought to be more like you.

  6. Well this one is going to take some looking into, as a youth that young it is relatively hard to find, due to labor laws. So here is what I know you can do for volunteer work

Try local Churches (any denomination), most of these places are always looking for an extra hand, for you even though you may not be of that religion you may find something you can do. Such as help serve the homeless food, or help clean tables.  Try giving a few calls around and see what you can come up with.

Local events such as marathons are also looking for volunteers, doing something as simple as handing water to runners, you can usually go to that charity's web site and sign up (with parental approval).

Last of all try places such as hospitals and retirement homes, they are always looking for a helping hand, and this volunteer work is usually fun. Doing volunteer work at places like these really give you a view on thing, the world (or at least I have found so my self). Most of the people found in these places have fantastic stories to tell, but just need some one to listen.

Any way I hope this helps, email me if you need any more help with this type of matter.
