  6. Britain's first esclator was in  Harrods, London, and was installed in 1988.

    The first one on the Underground was at Earl's Court, although i'm not to sure of the year.

  7. The first one on the London Underground was at Earls Court station, and they employed a one-legged bloke to ride up and down all day just to show how easy it was to use!
