Where was Countee Cullen (contributor to the Harlem Renaissance) born?

I am trying to figure out if he wa born in New Orleans according to "Countee Cullen's Secret Revealed by Miracle Book" by Shirley Porter Washigton or if he was born in New York which he claimed in one of his writings. I know that it is unkown where he is from, but I think this book proves where he is really from. Can someone help me?

Numerous websites say his birthplace is questionable.  Some say New York, some say Baltimore.  A lot of sites list him as being born in Louisville, Kentucky. "Born in Louisville, Kentucky, and raised by Elizabeth Porter until her death in 1908, this poet of the Harlem Renaissance was raised by the Rev. and Mrs. Frederick Cullen of a New York City Methodist Episcopal Church."
