  1. The GATT (now WTO) was part of the Bretten Woods agreement. Signed in Bretten Woods New Hampshire, after World War II.

    As for NAFTA which was passed in 1994 it was signed by each signatory country in their respective capital cities Washington DC, Mexico City DF, Ottowa after being passed by their parliaments.
