  1. It only exists in comic books.

    In a "state of mind".

    And, only imaginary people work there.


  2. It's the spiritual predecessor of the UN in many ways, just less world-encompassing, it's now defunct. It was based in Geneva, Switzerland. The building still exists to this day.

    It was established in the aftermath of World War I, a result of the Treaty of Versailles in 1919–1920. It's main goal was to prevent war, and settle disputes through negotiations and diplomacy. But it ultimately failed (quite miserably), and was unable to the prevent the onset of World War II. It was ultimately replaced by the United Nations, which we have today.
