The Paleozoic era covered about 300 million years, and during that stretch of time there was some movement of the North American landmass. However, throughout, or nearly throughout, the era, the Equator passed through the landmass, roughly going from the eastern Hudson Bay region to the Baja California region, with the bulk of the landmass falling between 20° South latitude to 30° North latitude. Toward the end of the era, a greater share of the landmass was north of the Equator than at the beginning of the era. For reference, today the bulk of the North American landmass rests between 20° North latitutde to 70° North latitude.
