  2. The first McDonalds in England was in Woolwich S.E.London.

    It was opened in 1974 and It's still doing a good trade to this day.  Mcdonalds chose Woolwich because it was a typical suburban town and they reckoned if it succeeded there it would succeed anywhere..

    It's my local !!

  5. Yup .. it was In Woolwich. SE London ...... 1970s sometime ... I remember someone going there and telling me that there were no knives or forks!!  You had to use your hands ...

  6. I think it was Woolwich South London in 1974 I used to live there and there were photo's all over the restaurant

  7. If I am right I think it was Leicester Square in London back in the Eighties.
