  6. Definitely John Browns of Glasgow, that is why the old girl visited there this week on her 40th anniversary cruise of the UK, before she retires to Dubai as a floating hotel.

    Incidently, my claim to fame is, the company I worked for in the 60`s built the pumps for her and I tested them all.

    Didn`t get an invite to the launch or final cruise though.

    John Browns on the Clyde at Clydebank, (where its predecessors the Queen Elizabeth and its sister ship Queen Mary) was built fitted out at Gourock

  8. The QE 11 hasn't been built yet.  If you mean the QE 2, it was Clydebank (Glasgow).
