Where was the usual pit stop coverage?

Generally ..... maybe it differs from espn, fox, tnt......when they make stops they show a few cars and their times in the pit boxes, showing how many seconds their pit stop took.

And what about that final pit stop? Not one driver got hit with "too fast down pit road"....kind of suspicious that Johnson went to pit road 3rd came out first, and there was no coverage as to why it took the 1st and 2nd place cars so long on their pits. Is this a case of Johnson cheating again?

  1. There were so many pit stops, I bet ESPN was too tired to cover it well. As far as Jimmie's pit stops, #18s #1 Fan (Rowdy's World) gave the best answer. When you take the poll and have the best pit stall, it is easier to get out first. No mystery or cheating there.

  2. yes i agree i hate the fact that johnson won this race i think nascar needs to check that car but they wont  but there was one speeding infacton i think it was the 31 car but yeah i so sick of them talking about johnson this and johnson that and getting kinda tired of hearing about jr that was all they seem to talked about all day

  3. Oh my gosh-Johnson cheated because he won and had a fast pit stop? Did Carl Cheat too because he pitted 5th and ended up 2nd? Seriously!

And I'm pretty sure the 43 car got hit for too fast down pit road-earlier in the race-there has been plenty of races where no one has gotten the penalty certain tracks it's more common-

Thanks for the Thumbs down but I guess only Jimmie cheated and not Carl who ended up going from 5th to 2nd right? Your right-by watching on your TV you know exactly how fast Jimmie was going instead of the Nascar officials-didn't you hear the commentators talking about what a great job Jimmie did getting to the pits without speeding? I guess you missed it!

  4. WADR (with all due respect) Please tell me one other time jimmie was caught cheating he's not from joe gibb's org.

  5. ESPN coverage is less than stellar, the pit stops were too many and ad far as the other stuff, thats just how it goes

  6. johnson's team had a great pit stop and he had the first pit - nearly every race whoever has that first pit manages to come out in front if they came in as one of the top three. as speed is averaged from one line to the next in sections along pit road, the driver with the first pit has a great advantage - three actually: 1) no one in front of him when he's ready to go, 2) no need to look out for other cars as they don't have to blend in with traffic on pit road, and 3) that box is usually half-way through the last "scoring box" where speed is calculated. that means the driver can speed leaving his pit as the time between him crossing the first line in that last scoring segment and him leaving it also includes the pit stop - so average speed is very low.
