  8. Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino in Northern Italy.

It is the closest to paradise on this planet

The food, people, weather and scenery is exquisite.

  9. We went to the States last year (my Mum, Dad, husband and stepson) to visit old friends from when we lived there when I was little.

It was great because my husband and stepson had never been there before and were really looking forward to it.

We had a brilliant two weeks because they weren't staying in an hotel; they lived with a proper Deep South family in their home and ate the food and helped with the farm. That was lovely for me and my parents, too, to remember it all.

We did the touristy stuff too, so it turned out to be a brilliant holiday!
