  6. my very first job that i got outside of family[ive worked at my uncles pizza place, ect.] and babysitting was cleaning for a cleaners place

and i worked there for the entire last summer [summer of 07]

  7. I was a Waitress for a small, family owned restaurant. I was there for around, a year or so. At first, it was great. But then it was terrribleee, I was only 16 years old and I practically ran the restaurant. I had three bosses, one hated me, and she resented me because I was friends with ehr sisters (the other two bosses).

  8. 5 weeks at Butlins holiday camp in the south of England. As a cleaner . It was unspeakably ghastly.  The worst bit was the rooms where four young men shared. The smell was always indescribable.  Dirty feet and a hideous lot more.

  9. Hills Department store in the layaway department.  I was 17 and it was my first job.  The people that were putting on layaways were ignorant and prejudice.  I couldn't deal with it any more so I finally quit 8 months later.  I never worked in a department store ever again.

  10. Other than babysitting and summer temp office jobs, I worked for  Kresge's (small stores, forerunners of K-Mart) for about 3 years while I was in college in the early 60's.  Made a whole dollar an hour.  If course, you could buy a lot more with a dollar then.

  12. i worked at cedar point (amusement park) for like 3 months. it SUCKED.

  13. subway/baskin robbins.  it was a two in one deal at a truck stop.  i was there for a summer job, so about 3-4 months.

  14. At a restaurant that made sandwiches Wayyyyyyyyy before Subway opened. It was the same idea. I loved the job, it was fun and easy. Unfortunately, I was the only person working there who was white and the cooks and bussers and sandwich people didn't let me forget it. About a year and a half after working there, I was called into the office by the owner who told be a few of the people who worked there said I had been going around telling people they were "g*y", but using the not so nice version of the word. She wrote me up and gave me a stern talking to. I cried thru the whole thing because none of it was true but I had no way to prove it. They wanted me gone. It was horrible. I remember walking back into the kitchen when it was over and one of the bussers winked at me and laughed and said why don't you quit now before we get you fired. I did quit a few days later. So, there was my first job. It was my first brush with racism against a white person.

  15. I was a telemarketer. That was a terrible experience

  16. Delivering news papers for the New York Dailynews, i was 10 years old. It was 15cents a paper. sunday news was 25 or 35 cents... It's been over 30 years....

  17. I cleaned houses. It sucked. Lasted 2 months before I quit.

  18. A pet shop. I was 13. I vacuumed the bird while cleaning the cage with a vacuum and  was fired after 2 months.
