i was in kindergarden and our assistant teacher turned on the news (she didnt know what was happening) because the drama teacher wasnt there yet. our assistant had her mouth wide opend the whole time... we were to young to know what was happening.. and it turned out that her sons girlfriend was on one of the planes and she knew that she was. so she ran out of the room screaming and crying and she left us there.. we had NO clue what was happening we had to find out the next day... it was like the saddest thing i had seen when i was that young!

and last september on the 11th around 4:30 my mamaw died.. so that will always be a hard day for me...

  1. I was in third grade.  I remember hearing the announcement from the principal that a plane crashed into a building.  I was so young, I didn't know what that meant.  I was thinking big deal!  But when I got home my mom was crying.  I felt so guilty that I thought it didn't matter.  So many people lost their lives.  I felt bad for all of them.  How people can be so cruel as to kill innocent children, adults, anyone! is too hard to comprehend.  I live in Wisconsin, no where near the attacks, but I still felt terrible grief days later.  I always thought the United States was really safe.  I guess the September 11 attacks opened our eyes to how mean people can really be.

  2. watching tv with my dad. it was so crazy because we saw the 2nd plane hit the other tower live and were shocked. we both looked at eachother in disbelief. I'm sorry for ur lose. it must be hard.

  3. Unlike Bush I wasn't ignoring the huge horror.  Nor, unlike Bush, did I later claim to see a plane crashing into the towers.

  4. well....i thunk i was in 3rd grade..maybe it was first..idk.

anyway. we were pretty clueless and i was scared outta my mind because all the tv showed was a building burning and people screaming and i had no clue if we were being overtaken or what.

to be out of adult affairs was pretty scary :P

  5. i was home and sick, here in mexico we were all shocked by those scenes, that was terrible...a few days befor emy birthday

  6. I was in my office looking out the window....the worst day in my lifetime for our country.

  7. Yeah i was at home here in Belfast, getting ready to go to work, it was about 2.15pm and had just turned on Sky news when it was breaking news. I remember sitting watching the TV screen as the second plane hit, my heart was pumping like mad, it was a surreal feeling, I had already booked to go to New York the following march for St Patricks day, so i remember going down to Ground Zero when we got there and it was very emotional.

  8. school

  9. In bed, my cousin called me around 7 am it was 4 am in her time zone! We talked for hours, then when the second plane hit the phone line went dead. We were both on land line phones. It was strange, she called me right back, I had the radio on I sorta heard someone say something about the Towers, but I thought it was a small crop plane! Then she turned on her TV and told me turn on mine and then that's when we saw what happened. Also we were concerned because her older sister had to be NYC that day. Thankfully she didn't go.

  10. i didn't see it on TV.  I was busy cleaning the toilet bowl with pages from Popular Mechanics.

  11. Surfing on line when news alert said Pentagon had been bombed. Turned on tv to see second plane hit and was hooked. it really felt strange how when major parts of building were coming close to falling the network being watched cut away. There seems to be very strong evidence that some explosions hear by eyewitness were not shown on tv.
