I want to learn about other's experiences. I was in grade school when it happened (not telling you what grade of course!) and I remember our teacher got really sad and worried all of a sudden. On the way to school that morning, my brother and i had listened to the radio. I recall hearing something bad happening. Then after I got home from school I noticed my dad was home. My mom and daddy were watching TV with "real worryed looks on thier fases" as I wrote in my school journal, and I saw a building collapsing on Tv. That was how I learned about what happened on that terrible day. What was your first thought, where were you, and what did you immediately do (i.e. call spouse, etc.)?

  1. I was in bed in my residence in Southern Nevada. One of our daughters called from Ohio to tell us to turn on the TV. I sat transfixed in front of the TV for several hours, praying that two people I knew were not on the plane which hit the Pentagon. My prayer was not answered. They both died on impact.

  2. 9/11 is my B-day and i remember it all getting ruined becuase of what happend, i was pissed ... until i found out what happend, was extremely wierd, i live in England and everything seemed to stop and everyone (including me) was watching the news and what happend ... we were devistated.

  3. I was in school, only a 4th grader at the time. I loved in Louisiana so it was probably 10 am when we heard the news. We were in history class learning sbout some president and tyhe intercom came on and they announced the news. I guess we all felt a bit of remorse, but nothing huge because we were only 10 and knew almost nothing about the twin towers or who had died. It finally hit me later that day, though, because I remember going home and flipping the channels and every single channel except disney and a few others were live broadcasts talking about what had happened. I was in awe.

  4. i was in school 2

  5. East Bound Willow street in Long Beach, so whats it to you?

  6. I was at school in Europe. I heard about 9/11 but back I didnt even know what WTC was. lol. But we actually had two minutes of silence in class (my ***).

  7. I was standing in the reception area in a fellow dentist office when the first plane hit the tower.  All I could think was 'boy that guy's not a very good pilot' it just never occurred to me that we were being attacked!!  I'll never forget it - like most Americans I was glued to the television after that.  All I could do was pray for everyone.  The image will long live in my memory.

  8. I was watching cartoons in my parents room and then this lady came on the tv and said some c**p, I wasnt listening, I was mad my cartoons were off. The news automatically popped up on the tv

  9. on the roof of my building watching the whole thing.. I was in NJ. I lived in NY, so I had to sleep at work since the bridges were closed- I couldnt get home
