  1. i was in my 5th grade class reading a book. i remember another teacher came in and whispered something in my teacher's ear. when the first plane crashed she came in and when the second plane crashed she came in again. my teacher was forbidden to tell us because she didn't want to cause harm to any of the students whose parents worked in the towers. i remember clearly that the troublemaker of the class kept asking my teacher if she won the lottery. i then saw another 5th grade teacher crying and the feeling of not knowing something this tragic was excruciating. i went home that day and watched the news. since i was young, i didn't really know what the twin towers were. the 9/11 conspiracy still fascinates me to this day.

  2. I was on my way to school, and I was in the 4ht grade. It was on the radio...and my mom was really listening...but I had no idea what they were talking about..nor what buildings they were talking about.

  3. I was in my 4th grade class learning long division. I'll never forget that day, it was the only time I ever saw teachers cry. And everyone's mom came to get them.

  4. I was in the shower. After I got out, there was a message on my mobile, i thought he was talking about a movie. It took a while for me to cop on that such a terrible thing actually happened.

  5. I was in my 7th grade social studies class...I remember a kid runnning to each wing (we had a campus type place) yelling at us to turn the tv on. They put us on lockdown because we were so close to D.C. I remember one of my friends falling apart because her mom went to work in NYC for 6 months and she worked close to the twin towers...

  6. I was at my Fiancee's house sleep. His mom called us and told us because his Brother was in New York (but luckly, he was already on his plane 3 hours before the crash happened.) I was terrified!

  7. my apartment eating breakfast... it's funny how some people wont forget what they were doing in that moment but wont remember what they were doing a week/month ago

  8. i was sitting in my 12th grade home economics class. a teacher from down the hall ran in and started yelling and crying about the planes and NY. we turned on the tv and we all started crying. it was horrible

edit: wow, someone went through and gave everyone a thumbs down. whoever did that is a sad lonely person. so, im giving everyone a thumbs up b/c that was a terrible day, and i hope something like that never happens again, to our country or anyone elses.

  9. Was siting in my 10th grade science class. But didn't quite understand what was going on till i went home!!!! 8-(

  10. I was at work. We all wear headphones and listen to our radios while we work. It was the weirdest thing.. One by one, we all stood up and started looking around at each other as our stations, ( I think it was Howard Stern for me, believe it or not), broke in w the news. Then it was a mad rush to the breakroom to watch it on t.v.

I got there just in time to see the second plane hit. Never been so pizzed in my life! Some people cried. Most, like me, wound up hitting a wall or something just to get a little of it out.

That was the end of work that day.

I'll remember that morning until I die. And I'll be angry until I die, or until all terrorists do.

Too many have already forgotten. Too many are willing to forgive.

  11. I was watching the Today show like I do every morning, and I watched the planes go into the tower. I couldn't beleive it was happening. When the first one crashed, I thought it was just a terrible accident, when the second one crashed, I kept waiting for another one. My husband was joining the marines and we got a phone call telling us that the Federal Building where he needed to go was shutting down until further notice. I was glued to the television for several days, and it was the saddest thing I've ever seen. Thanks for reminding others, it seems like most people have forgotten, though I will never forget that day.

  12. I was sleepy...in a pizza shop eatting pizza because my mom was trying to make me feel better after coming from the doctors. A waitress told us what happened....but the way she said it we thought it was an accident...I didn't really find out the whole story until about four that afternoon when i woke up.
