Where/what is the cheapest package of microsoft office?

Does anybody have any good deals?

PS. If you restore your computer and lose it does that count as installing it one computer? How many computers can use the product?

its almost like office but free.

Other wise for official MS office you need to pay the full wack.

The standard package gives licenses for up to 3 computer I believe, although you'd have to look. Some only allow for 1 I think.

OpenOffice is a FREE open source alternative if you don't have an absolute NEED for office. Otherwise, if you are in college, you could probably get a copy from your school for dirty cheap. (I got one from my school for 7 bucks I think).

If you really want MS Office Professional (with Excel, Access, Publisher, Word and Outlook) and not the Free Open Office, watch on eBay. I created a saved search when I was looking for Office 2003 and I was emailed daily with results, watched the cheapest items, and sniped a copy for about $80, when it was retailing for over $200. Took a little time on my part, but saved a bundle!

Make sure you are looking at blister packed, new copies with an Authentic COA (certificate of authenticity) to be sure you are not getting pirated software. Watch the sellers ratings on similar products.

My first purchase turned out to be a fraudulent copy (it was not blister packed), I got my money back through Pay-Pal dispute process quickly and easily and I was more careful the next time.

I have reformatted my computer twice and reinstalled it no problem and have it installed on my laptop as well. No problem with serial numbers or authentication.

The cheapest is still expensive, Therefore why not install

Open Office. It is a very good alternative for MS Office and it is completely free.
