  1. brewers

there talking with him right now about a long term deal

im guessing that texeria will end up somewhere in the AL East

  2. CC Sabathia is the prime FA this year and the majority will tell you that he's not staying, not with the way he's playing now. He'll likely command similar money that Johan is getting, so Milwaukee will likely be out of the race since they also have Ben Sheets as a FA also. Sabathia is a native North Californian and the ideal place would have to be the Giants. However, the Giants are looking for a hitter this off season, possibly Garrett Atkins in a deal, and the last thing they want to do is another $100 million deal (see Barry Zito). The Yankees would be the perennial favorite because the Yanks have several players coming off the payroll (Giambi, I-Rod, Abreu, Mussina, Pettitte, Pavano) and would like to have a ace behind a young staff consist of Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain, Ian Kennedy, and Chien-Mien Wang, along with revenue for the new stadium. However, the Yanks have a lot of problems to solve before pursuing Sabathia with their potential of missing the playoff is very high. The Dodgers might have the money and the location factor on their side. Sabathia is making his off season home in Orange County and would love to play West. The Angels aren't in the market for a pitcher and the A's, Padres don't have enough for Sabathia. The Dodgers are expect to let Derek Lowe, Manny Ramirez, Jeff Kent, Nomar, Furcal, and possibly Brad Penny, go to free up money for Sabathia, which the Dodgers almost acquire him this season.

Mark Teixeira is expected to be courted by the hometown Baltimore Orioles this offseason. Other suitors would include the Yankees, Mets, White Sox, and the Angels, who have the inside track of an additional year over other teams. The O's would likely be the favorite considering that there working the hardest to get an impact player, but don't be surprise if he stays in Anaheim.

  3. I think CC likes it right there in Milwaukee, and the Brewers would be nuts to let anyone, even the Yankees, outbid them for his services.  Teixeira is from the Baltimore, MD area, has been a lifelong Orioles fan, and has publicly stated in the past that he would love to come to Baltimore after his current contract expires..  Baltimore just cleared out a TON of payroll when they dealt Tejada and Bedard this past off-season, and they DO have one of the richest owners in baseball (cheap, yes; but filfthy rich? also, yes)  in Peter Angelos.  Tex will be an Oriole next year, count on it.

  4. I think CC will stay in Milwaukee. He doesn't like to move around alot, he really loved it in Cleveland and had no intention of leaving there, but obviously that was out of his hands. He likes it very much in Milwaukee and has made very good friends out of Bill Hall and Prince Fielder, so as much as baseball players are greedy, I think CC's decision will have to do with more than just money. As far as Teixeira, I think the Yankees might grab him, they obviously need a 1st baseman, I don't see where Boston would use him, they have an all star 1st baseman and DH, so there would be no room for him. He might very well stay with the Angels if he likes it there, or I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the NL, maybe Dodgers or D-Backs.

  5. Ya i think C.C. will end up goign to the yankees cause they need a good starter and Teixeira will go to the red sox cause i remember them wanting him in a trade that didnt happen with the braves.

  6. As a NYY fan it would be nice to CC with the Yank's!

  7. It would make sense if both C.C. and Teixeira went to the Yankees. The Yankees need pitching and a reliable offensive asset in Teixiera. If the Yankees do sign Teixeira then Giambi would go back to the DH spot.

  8. I think the Yankees will probably break the bank and get both. The only reason I say this is because of the new Yankee Stadium next season, and it will be Hank's first full season totally in charge. I wouldn't be surprised to see the payroll top $150 million next season. With that said, at some point, it has to stop for the Yankees, you can't continue to spend with no results. But next season, I think with the new stadium, the Yanks spend.

  9. im going big and saying Yanks grab CC as they got the big money for him and it be worth going and grabbing him and ill say Teixeria will go to Baltimore as Kevin Millar will test free agency

  10. I hope Texeira stays with the Angels, but he and Boras are such ******* that they will follow the money, even after he wins a W.S with he Angels

  11. C.C i think will stay with the Brewers

Texeira... he could join either the Blue Jays or Red Sox

  12. If the brewers can round up enough money theyll keep him and if C.C. stays that means they might not have enough money for Sheets to stay otherwise sheets and C.C. will go elsewhere to like the yankees or rays and teixeira will likely go to Boston but who knows the sox are good

  13. I'm going out on a limb here and say that CC stays put for at least one more year. They have been hot since they got him and I'm sure they are wondering where they would be right now if they would have had him for the entire season. Teixiera will go anywhere the money takes him, prolly the Yankees but maybe the Red Sox!
