Where will Jamie McMurray be driving in 2009?

I hear he is leaving the #26 and Roush racing at the end of the season but have not heard where he might be driving next year.

jamie mcmurray will get lucky and will stay in the car next year but... when it comes to 2010 and RFR has 2 reduced down 2 four cars he will leave and be a free agent unless he does really good next year but so far this year is suckish for him so... last win was last years pepsi 400 right? anyways ragan signed a new contract through 2010 along with biffle. hvnt hrd anything about edwards tho maybe he will leave 2 drive for stewart hass racing if they decide 2 have a 3 car team by 2010?!

So far all official indications are that he is staying with Roush-Fenway & will be driving the #26 next season. Beyond that however is unknown as Roush-Fenway must reduce to 4 cars following next season.

Well, if his career record is any indication, my guess would be a Yellow Taxi.....

Maybe he could share seat time with Ben Bailey in the Cash Cab.

i think he's going to get ONE more year at roush, after that he could land just about anywhere

I'm pretty sure Richard Childress said the Buyout on Jamie's contract was too high, so unless RCR holds out until next year or gives Mears a one year contract before dumping him for Jamie, there's no way Jamie is going to be at RCR.

Jamie's going to be driving the same car next year. 2010 is when somethings going to happen.

That rumor keeps getting thrown out there and Jamie and Jack Roush have both denied it. I hope he's out of that car, I'm a huge Jamie fan, but not a RFR fan. If he does end up leaving I think there's a good chance he will end up it the 4th RCR car. If not, he will probably be in the 45 car for the Pettys. I think that's maybe why Richard Childress hasn't announced anything yet. He may be waiting for things to play out with that.

Nah, it looks like he's going to stay for now, he was rumored to be leaving, but McMurray has said that the rumors are false and that he's staying with Roush for next year.
