The venue for the event will be Royal Liverpool Golf Club, at Hoylake in Wirral. The course is actually the second oldest seaside links golf course in England. Built on a racecourse in 1869, Hoylake has played host to some of golf's most famous moments, hosting the men's open Championship on 11 occasions - most recently in 2006 when Tiger Woods won.
