Where will the London Olympic Venues be? ?

Where will the venues be for the London Olympics? London is already hectic for traffic, so will it really be outside London?

It had to be London as the IOC said that it would only consider a UK bid if the host city was London.

Tennis will be at Wimbledon

some events are in Greenwich park

Football - a number of the big stadiums round the country eg Old Traffod, Villa park,Millennium stadium in Cardiff but the final will be at Wembely.

I dont understand why they are having it in London either, they could have it anywhere. There are countless towns and cities which could do with the stadium and commerce the games will bring yet they choose to put it in London where the traffic will be chaos and the pollution higher.

Go to www.london2012.com - this will tell you all about the venues etc.  It is interesting to note that some buildings will be taken down after the games and relocated somewhere else.  That is a great idea.

and as for the first answer talking about pollution... you cant really complain considering our air is nowhere near as bad as beijing's so abit more traffic around the olympic time isnt going to hurt. and the reaosn it is in london is because it has to be held somewhere special, if it wasnt london we probably wouldnt have been given the right to hold the games at all. also consider london is alot more densely built and makes more money than anywhere else in the UK so it the facilites are actually needed.
