  1. I think the top prospects are Winnipeg, Hamilton, Las Vegas, Kansas City, & Portland. However, I don't think anyone's going anywhere anytime soon. Maybe in 5 years minimum.

  2. They need a team somewhere in Wisconsin like Green Bay or Madison.  Or Kansas City

  3. I'm not quite sure where the NHL will move next but I think that Canada needs another NHL team. We have so many fans with only a few teams.

    Relocation ----> Winnipeg!

    Get the Winnipeg Jets back!

  4. Hopefully, the NHL will expand to Cleveland, Ohio, so I can find a good excuse to stay and live here.

  5. I know that kansas city and hamilton, ontario have been places that have been interested in teams in the past.

back when it was rumored that the pens were going to move, they were allegedly going to kansas city...

and when the nashville predators were going to be sold, they were rumored to be going to hamilton.

so... either of those are options.

i like the idea of a team out west to have one though... just so the wings can be an eastern conference team... it's ridiculous for the wings and the blue jackets to have to play a team 3 time-zones away.

  6. I think relocation would be better- to a Canadian market or a place like Seattle.....would that mean the WIngs would be in the East?!??!???!!!  :)

  7. i think relocations better option at this time ,,they still have alot of work to do to win back the fans they lost during the strike.

  8. In an edition of The Hockey News (not sure which one) an NHL rep. told them that there will be no more expansion. So I'm guessing the answer to your question is relocation, hopefully to more Canadian cities.

  9. I recently read in the Philly papers that Kansas City, Las Vegas, Seattle, and some 4th city were their targets for new teams. I'm thinking it might have been Houston but I'm not sure.

I do know that I was surprised that no Canadian cities were mentioned.

    Dumb.

Already 8 too many as it is if you ask me.

  10. Relocation is never an option because the owners don't get money, they all prefer expansion.

Same with the players, they prefer expansion because it means more jobs for the union.

  11. To clear up all this confusion: Canada does NOT need another team. It is the National Hockey League last time I checked, not the International Hockey League. If anything, Canada can send its teams here and start their own league, the CHL. Even then, a Canadian team probably wouldn't win that championship either. Next, the fellow that said relocation is NEVER an option is out of his friggin' mind. To prove my point, the Dallas Stars, the Colorado Avalanche, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Phoenix Coyotes are all teams that exist due to relocations within the past 13 years. And just for the record - Seattle is considered by most hockey experts to be the likeliest of relocation cities. Kansas City is not in Wisconsin. If a team (especially an eastern conference team) were to relocate to Seattle, Detroit would then make that much more of an arguement to switch over to the eastern conf.
