SO I have this neighbor of mine who is a "know it all" and really irked me on his last tangent. He proceeded to tell me that it has never been over 100 degrees in WA state, especially in our city. Well he is so wrong! We went out and bought an air conditioner last summer because we reached an all time high of 112, trouble is I can't seem to find the proof of that heat wave anywhere! I have even called the local papers and cable company with no results. Now, I wouldn't be so worried about all of this, but I bet $100! But hey, I don't argue with this prick unless I know I am right, and in this case, I am right, I have a specific memory of that day. So please help me find this info! Thanks.

  1. What city are you referring?

Regardless, you win!!  I know 100 degrees has been attained many times in the state of Washington.  Spokane's all time high is 108, for example, while Moses Lake hit 112 on August 4, 1961, and more recently, 107 on July 23, 2006.
