My energy is all messed up, and I cannot afford a session. Where could I find a source for a free session? A massage school?

  1. contact http:/www.healingbyjahan.com, I know they provide at least one free of charge. usually it works in first session. The good part, they provide distance healing too, so save gas!

  2. Massage schools do not teach Reiki, so that would not be offered by the students.  Find a local Reiki Master who needs a body for his/her students to work on.  Then, find a way to trade or barter with the teacher so that you, yourself can learn.

Meanwhile, to help ground your messed up energies, go by yourself to a beach or lake and dunk yourself, lay in the sun, and dig your toes in the sand.  Do this by yourself, with just a sack lunch and lots of bottled water.

  3. Ask if you can work out a payment plan with somebody if you cannot afford it.

They are after all, there to help.

  4. Depending on the nature of your imbalance (which can only be determined with an assessment by an experienced practitioner), it may very well take more than one session - so hopefully you can find an outlet where you can receive a series of treatments. One-off treatments are wonderful for stress-relief and for correcting very minor imbalances in an otherwise healthy person. Generally 3-5 treatments are ideal for regaining balance, if the problem is rooted in something more chronic, or the situation is more acute, then more treatments may be indicated. Keep that in mind as you look for a practitioner.

The good news is that there are plenty of people and organizations that offer free distance healings! You can try searching Yahoogroups for "distance healing" and you'll find several groups that are dedicated to that. Also Google "free reiki healing" and you'll find many pages that invite healing requests.

Massage schools generally do not teach Reiki, so you won't be able to find a student clinic - however even student clinics of any modality carry a nominal fee per session.

If you Google your town with "reiki" you should come up with several listings for practitioners and Masters. You could approach them with a polite email letter explaining your situation and see if they know of any Reiki shares, or student clinic-type events that would be open to having you as a recipient.

You may also wish to ask about bartering for sessions. An exchange for services is required as taught by traditional Reiki training - this makes sure that the recipient is willing to take some responsibility for their own healing, and to WANT to heal enough to be willing to trade something of their own in appreciation for the healing. In most cases it's easiest to exchange money for services as we don't live in village-based communities anymore. However, many people barter for services. Do you have a skill or service that you can offer in exchange for treatments?  If so, you may want to offer what you can in exchange for the sessions.

    Brightest blessings.
