  1. Please don't! Anyone with spelling and grammar that bad shouldn't be out of high school, let alone college. They definitely should NOT be teaching! It's a shame.

  2. Hey From HH!!

If you want to substitute teach for Veneble Elementary, you must apply for a position with the Killeen School District.  IF you know where Killeen Mall is, it is right down the road.  Go behind the central office building and there are some temporary buildings. Go to the second one, and the sub-center is there.  OR>>> you can go to the Killeen School District website  Killeenisd and fill out an application there.

Once you are hired for the school system to sub. you will be given more information about how to accept a teaching position either on the computer or through a phone msg. center.  You will have the oppurtunity to work at any of the 30 elementary schools, 12 middle schools or 4 high schools.

    (not just veneble village)

    Good luck!!

  3. no where please since you can't spell

  4. Go to your Regional Office of Education and complete the necessary paperwork.  As long as you have a college degree, you can get a provisonal Substitute Teacher certificate in most states (sorry, not sure about Texas.)

  5. Find the website for Ft. Hood's school district - you will probably need to apply with the district, rather than a specific school.  Once accepted, you can adjust your placement preferences.

...and learn how to use spell check first, or don't sub in an English class!

  6. You apply to the county via website you want to sub in. I suppose the requirements will vary by county.

  7. I'm in Dallas. When I got back here last December I went to City Hall and began filling out applications. That, plus a check for about $50 got the process started. You have to sign a waiver to have the FBI and others so a back round cvheck on you to make sure you're not a child molester or anything like that. Then you wait several weeks for the paperwork to come through. Then you go around and decide which schools you want to work at and fill out the paperwork for that too. Then I go around to the schools themselves and introduce myself and give them sort of a resume of my experiences and strengths and what I am willing to teach, as this is not the sit around and read the paper while you're in the classroom type job. Finally, I wait for the phone to ring in the morning and after I see who it is, I decide if i want to work that day or not.

  8. Believe it or not , certification requirements are different for every state and those requirements are decided by each state's board of education.

Here is a website that is specific to your state's requirements to be a substitute teacher.

    http://www.teacher-world.com/substitute-...

    it says ...

"To become a substitute teacher in Texas, you will need to apply through the school district you wish to teach in. The following are the typical qualifications and requirements necessary for a substitute teacher in a Texas school district:

    Complete a Bachelor's Degree

Completion of a criminal history check

    Completion of a medical examination

Completion of the school district's substitute teacher application and whatever application processing fee is associated "

I am sure your local school district, or regional superintendent, would also help you out if you just call them. They need substitutes really bad usually.
