I apparently have some long distance relative,I met once as a child,who was an Olympic fencer.I was just wanting to research this further out of curiosity more than anything.Can anyone out there help at all? Thanks, very much appreciated.

Well first off, you should just google their name.

That should give you most of your results right there, and if they were any good, they should have an alright sized article on wikipedia.
