  1. Tell me where "your area" is and maybe I can help you find some.

  2. What kind of "homeschooling program" do you have in mind?

Are you looking for someone else to teach the lessons?  Do you want classes that you can take?  Are you wanting a school of sorts?  Or are you just wanting to know how to go about homeschooling in your area?

First try looking for local homeschool support groups.  A lot of these are online.  Some aren't.  If you can't find any online, you might try checking with your local place of worship to see if they have a support group, or try the public library to see if they know of any support groups.  Or try joining a national online group and then ask there for information about local options in your area.

If you want classes that homeschoolers can take, you might try asking at local museums or zoos or other educational places.  Or ask on local homeschooling support groups since other homeschoolers can usually point you in the right direction.  Or look for local businesses that specialize in tutoring, many of them offer homeschooling support services, including classes.

Many homeschoolers spend a fair amount of time in the library.  If you ask at your public library, they may be able to help you find some locals who'll know about homeschooling resources.

Or check with your public school district's office.  Often their website will include links to local support groups for homeschoolers or to local resources for them.  Or the state dept. of education's website might include such links.  (You may have to join a group that doesn't quite fit you, so that you can meet a few other homeschoolers.  Then they may be able to point you to some others who are more like what you are looking for.)   They should also be able to tell you local regulations about homeschooling and help get you started, if that's what you're wanting.

  3. call ur local ymca...they usually have a slew of programs for homeschoolers..there is a whole organization in most areas that cater to homeschoolers..they do theri P.E. togetehr have sports like soccer teams and any other sport u can think of also do field trips and any thing else u can think of..u just need to get into the network..

  4. You've asked this in the past and rec'd a lot of responses.  Unfortunately for you in Texas, they are not common like in other states.  The only way you're going to be able to school at home is the traditional offline method, or use an online school.  Both will not be free.
