I am so tired of my town, I would just really like to get away for one month now that its summer...I love traveling and my parents would probably come with me for a week or two, I just would really like to get away from it all and see more things.

Anyways, my question is besides a hostel or a foreign-exchange situation, where would I stay for 1 month? I dont think hotels give discounts the longer you stay...Ideas? I am up for basically anything

Thanks everyone

  1. That's going to be expensive. Hotels might give you a small discount for long stays. Your best bet might be to google some "bed & breakfast" places. Ones outside the centre of London will be much cheaper than central London ones.

Also, there might be issues with you travelling without a legal guardian.

Whatever you do, *don't* just wander around and try to find somewhere. That is dangerous and stupid.

  2. The International Student House is the way to go. It's in an awesome location, and there are loads of cool ppl staying there. It is like a hostel in a way, but it's not as grungy. It's sort of like a cross between a dorm and a hotel...

My parents live in London, so I've never actually stayed at the ISH, but I've hung out there & gone on trips they've organised, and give them a thumbs up.

I'm pretty positive they'll let you stay there on your own at 15, but you'll want to double check. I seriously doubt any hotel will let you check in if you're under 18.

I can't believe your rents will let you do that, though! I'm begging mine just to let me go to Paris on my own for a few days, and I'm older than you are. Lucky duck.

Good luck, and be safe. : )

  3. You could live in a tent in my garden. I will only charge you five pennies.

  4. you should just walk around and find a nice place.

  5. you could join the youth hostels association

there are plenty of hostels across london, and they're safe and (relatively) cheap i guess
