What stores would they buy their clothes from? I'm going to Venice, Florence, Pisa, Orvieto, Sorrento, Rome, the Vatican and Capri soon and I want to do a little shopping. I know there's open air markets, but where would a teenage girl get most of her clothes from?? Links would be awesome if they have a website. Thanks!!!!

Note: I can't go to Milan, so please don't mention stores from there.

  1. You need to consiser two things: how much you want to spend and the quality you want to get. Also, be aware about the value of Euro vs Dollar.

Open air markets are an experience to try but the quality of the clothes isn't the highest one. Usually Italians buy from open air markets to save some money (though recently the prices are increasing also there).

You asked for teenager girl shopping? I will give you few links for you to check. Usually these are chains which you will find in the biggest cities:

    Diesel:

    Benetton:

    Sisley:

Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip to Italy!

  2. the open air markets are fabulous. most teenage girls over here get their clothes from small boutiques and everything we own is definitely not designer. the best way to find stuff is to get away from the touristy areas and go to the shops there because they are less expensive. the key is quality, not quantity. have fun!

  3. Let me tell you about the "Flee or Open air markets" well most the clothes you will find are seconds or flawed and are sold, their are also copies so please watch out and also you can bargain with them to get a redused price for anything they say.

Don't pay the price that is written because everything can be negation on price.

  4. All of Venice is a shopping extravaganza but expect high prices due to the unfavorable exchange rate for the Euro.  In Florence, don't miss the Ponte Vecchio bridge across the river Arno.  Rome has hundreds of shops and street vendors of everything you can imagine.  I liked Sorrento for local seaside charm items.

Don't bother shopping on Capri, just enjoy the views.  The Vaticam is for looking, not shopping.  Be sure to figure out how you're gonna get that stuff back home.  See about UPS or Fedex.  Pack light and count on buying clothes you can wear over there.

  5. first of all, orvieto is SO AMAZING

the open air markets and flea markets are the best, and they are usually around clothing stores too, so just look for those types of places. they have a lot better quality stuff in those places there than there is in the u.s.
