In North Texas (where I live) so many individuals do this that it is not organized in any fashion.  Most of them simply put a sign out front and no ad anywhere unless it does not rent for a while.  I am a landlord and this is also what I do.

You will only find these houses if you drive around neighborhoods that you like and can probably afford.

Get a local newspaper and look through the housing section for rental properties, or perhaps the local paper has it online.  They do where I live, so you can look up the local paper online and search there.  If you don't know if the local paper has a website for this, find the number in the phone book and call and ask.  Good luck!

Craigslist. I jest found a beautiful townhome for $1,000/mo. I'm moving on monday...be careful because there are scammers. if the picture looks like something out of the magazine then it is too good to be true!! Happy House Hunting!!
