Where would be the best place to go to get a logo & website created?

I'm starting a business and I need a website and logo. I've tried getting help from friends that are handy in this field, but ya know how it goes when it comes to friends...sometimes they don't' see the urgency because you're "friends". I'm willing to pay someone to get it done at this point. Any suggestions?

For the web site, look at the bottom of sites you think are well done - the company that did the site usually has a little link to their site.  and you already know, and like, at least some of their work.

For the logo, any graphic arts company.  Any art studio could give you names.  Or even the company doing the site for you.

The best place to get a logo created would be, in my opinion, http://www.worth1000.com. For a price starting at $50 (I believe), you can get a logo design from many people who compete for the "jackpot," the jackpot being whatever you decide (at least $50). The only stipulation is that you must pay the jackpot, whether or not you like any of the logos. The more you offer as a jackpot, the more logos you will have to choose from.

I don't have much information about creating a website, but http://www.americaneagle.com creates websites. They did the Chicago Bears website. http://www.register.com is another company in the business of webpage design.

Look around in your city on craigslist for some graphics artists or something like that.
