  1. i think Camden's music scene is pretty good!

  2. I'm personally a country dweller but the best place to live in central London I would say is Kensington in West London (Westminster). It is very upmarket and Hyde Park is on the doorstep there.

  3. Islington, Camden Town, or anywhere in between

  4. Islington is the best borough, its young, vibrant, great properties to rent, more for your money, its easy commuting to all parts of London, lots of bars, restaurants, clubs ,theatre, shopping, you wouldn't want to go into the west end when you have all these facilities at your own doorstep

  5. Most people don't live in the centre.

Central London is either very very expensive, or there are a few council (social) housing estates that are a bit rough.

For a music scene your best bet is Camden which is North London.
