Where would electrician look for problem?

Installed one electronic air cleaner, doesn't work. Got another air cleaner, different company, doesn't work. Now number three, same thing. All, don't do the second stage. Is the problem, the air cleaner, or, the electrical?

  1. More info would help, brand, voltage & such. I suspect it is a wiring problem, 120 to 220 volt wiring crossed.
