people that live in the city get a caterer from? anyone have any links or names? i heard of William Sonomas but its there anything else out there like that?

In every city I know they have a book called the yellow pages. Of course now there are also web sites and search engines.

Wiliams Sonoma is a store, not a catering service.  Although, some of the salespeople might have recommendations.  Other similar stores are Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn.  Some restaurants may have catering services too ... or try the Yellow Pages under catering.  See if you can get some references from the ones you call.  They should also let you come over and try out some of the items that they serve; and should have photo books of other parties that they've catered......
