Tattoos are a pretty personal issue that say a lot about the person. What you decide on for a symbol and where you put it is not something I would say should be influenced by asking for advice on Yahoo!

I would say you need to ask yourself a few questions before you make the final decision.

Why am I getting the tattoo? Is it for me or am I doing it to impress someone else? Do I want the world to see it, or is it fine if only I know about it or someone close to me who might see it on a "not usually visible" location? How will a tattoo affect my job opportunities? (Believe it or not, some people have lost jobs because they had tattoos visible on a collar, forearm, or leg.)

Answer these questions for yourself and that should help narrow down the choices. Keep in mind that certain tattoos are also symbols of gang affiliation and could lead to serious mistaken identity in some parts of town. And tattoos on the hands or knuckles is often a sign of someone that went to prison.

well from having two tattoos already, i would say have it on ur back under ur left shoulder it'll look good there. I'm contemplating a third tattoo just duno wat to have. I wouldn't have it on the hand though cuz wen ur old and wrinkly people will be able to see it. lol.

Depends what the significance of the pentagram is to you.  If it is simply for shock value, then put it where others will see it.  If it is for you or has a deeper meaning to you put, it where it makes the most sense for it to be for you.

First off, you should REALLY learn what you are getting tattooed on you before you go about it.

A pentagram has 2 points up.

A PENTACLE has one point up.

and to all those saying the pentagram is a sign of the devil, so is the Christian cross when turned upside down!

the pentagram is a pagan/wiccan symbol and even when inverted (two points up) it is still not a sign of the devil, it is the second degree of wicca and shows connection with the earth.

so to the people who think they are clever for saying it has relation with the devil, think again, you have just proven your selfs quite stupid.

and as for the person asking the question, the pentagram should only be tattooed on your body if it has meaning to you, and if it does only you can decide where it goes and it should go where its meaning will be meaningful, that will make sense if you are wiccan/pagan.

and incorporate it with stuff, like a symbol of the goddess (an owl).

I think centered on the chest... or maybe even between the shoulder blades would look cool... but my number one choice, for all circular tattoos when the person doesnt really know where they want it... is to cap the shoulder, this looks really cool, and you ust dont see it a lot.

I'll assume that you're still young, or you probably wouldn't ask such a stupid question.  Remember that you will not always be young, and I hope not stupid.  Someday, you may want a job that doesn't involve french fries, and having a tat in a conspicuous place will definitely limit your options.  If it's something as antisocial as a pentagram, this will WAY limit your options and your earning potential.

If you must get a tat, look at how they look on some old people, and ask yourself if you and yours will look any better should you live to be old.

i personally think on top of the hand, about the side of a 50p (in england) just between your pointing finger and your thumb.

this is only because i have a friend who wants the same thing as you, who is also indecisive.
