  1. They are held in general population and monitored by medical staff. If they go into labor while incarcerated, they are taken under guard to the local hospital to give birth. In Ohio ( at least ), there is no provision for a new mother in jail to keep the baby. It must be surrendered to a family member, the father of the child or to the state.

I hope this helps and you can find it useful.

  2. probably in  lock down her own cell so she dont get hurt

  3. In the Maternity Ward! (sorry, that was bad)....

  4. The coppers DON'T care

if she's pregnant or about the danger to her unborn child in jail,

all they care is that she broke the law.

They think ALL people who have gotten in trouble are CRIMINALS and DON'T deserve a 2nd chance,

just look at all the responses from coppers in Y/A!

  5. Pregnant women are in general population with the rest of the females.  When they are very close to delivering they go to the hospital holding area.

    Edit:

Pretty pathetic that my answer got negative responses...it is a completely factual answer with no opinion or commentary.

  6. I think they keep her with other pregnant inmates they probably have a housing unit for them

  7. she is kept in general populaiton or she could be kept locked down for her own protection if there is threats from herself or from others.

    good luck
