I like the idea they had in Dawn of the Dead. Barricade a shopping mall and live in it.

Just, ya know, don't do anything stupid, like give away your existance to a biker gang that has mysteriously managed to avoid being eaten.

I would probably go to a super store like Wal-Mart or something. That is, if I had a death wish. When and if a zombie outbreak should happen and be acknowledged by the population, that's where everyone is going to go, and it will be utter chaos.  It will be a riot, everyone trying to get supplies. You're just as likely to be beaten and killed for that can of soup you've got as you are be bitten by a zombie, if not more likely.

The best plan of defense I've found is to not need to go anywhere. Have all the supplies and ammo you need before the zombie invasion. Place them on the second floor of your house. If you don't have that, the put them in the attic. If you don't have that, buy a different house or pray Z-Day never happens. Anyway, if zombies show up, go to the second floor/attic and destroy the stairs. Try not to draw the attention of zombies to your presence.

Also, make sure you have an escape plan. On the off chance that zeds do find their way to you, you'll want to have a way out safely.

I would go to a graveyard.  After all, all the zombies will have already come out of the graveyard, so none of them would be there.  I'd have the entire place to myself.  I would dress in rags and put ash all over my body so that I would blend in with the zombies whenever I needed to go and get something (food, etc.)  While in the graveyard, a nice empty masoleum sounds inviting.  Away from the elements, strong and sturdy, and empty.

I wouldn't have to worry about helping anyone else, because everyone already knows my plan, so my friends and family would already be with me.

If I had some time I would stock up on weapons and ammo, long blades, and food and corral all my friends up.  Next, I would go UP the stairs and destroy them.

The hockey rink!!!!!!!!  I bet zombies are pretty clumsy on ice and you could just hit them with hockey pucks or run them over with the Zamboni
