Im a competitive dancer, and have been for some time. However, I know the competition world only has a small opening for a dance career. To have a career in dance after graduation, you would need to audition for roles, and be noticed. Where would you find the information about an audition??

  1. its good that you realize that competitive dancing isnt always good training, i myself did competitive dancing for a few years but have moved on for more intense training. if your still in high school then i would suggest going to different studios to find what training style fits you the best, as for auditioning for things usually your local dance store will have a bulletin board. i know theres a capezio a few hours away from where i live and they always have audition flyers in the store.

  2. You can find auditions in:

Local news papers or Arts papers (classified sections)

    Online Arts portals/websites

    Online city/local job seeker hubs

    Dance school notice boards

    Arts University notice boards

Arty cafes, Arts Centres or YMCAs

sometimes at dance theatres and performance centres

and if you type in "city name, dance auditions" in the search bar you should get loads of info too

  3. here are some Dance contests and Competitons. Let me know if it helps you.
