Where would you go for a stop off when going to australia?

Hong Kong, Signapore...? where im looking for a stop off before i got to australia, any others would be appreciated too!

If shopping is your big (only) thing, Hong Kong, Singapore or Dubai.

If you want a more interesting, cultural experience try Tokyo or Bankok.

well i think it really depends on the air line

my friend recently immigrated to Australia ad they stopped off at Dubai.

If you are going over the pacific take a look at Rarotonga in the Cook Islands its a little known paradise

New Zealand is beautiful! - Great skiing, adventure sports, etc

Bali, Vanuatu or Phuket in Thailand - for somewhere warmer and relaxing.

Singapore, Hong Kong - for the busy city & lots of shopping!!

depends where in aus your going.  if your going to western aus i would stop in dubai, quickest way in, about 4 hours shorter journey time.  other than that, singapore, hong kong, tokyo, kuala lumpur, bangkok even shanghai are possibilities.  i stopped in KL last time, cool city with excellent cheap shopping.  

I wouldnt do the USA rout, it's longer, i once went in through LA to sydney,  longest flight with the worst jet lag i have ever had and crossing the date line is a b***h.
