Where would you go if you could go anywhere in the eastern us?

Well I agree with Maverick and I'm Australian.  I have spent 3 months in total travelling around America, and besides some really obvious memorable things like Niagara Falls, The Grand Canyon,Lake Tahoe,Yosemite,Las Vegas etc the city I really liked and got the most out of was Washington DC.  There is so much interesting stuff to see there and most of it is free, and most of it you can walk to.

I wouldn't... because I absolutely HATE the East coast of the U.S. and the PEOPLE in the East Coast of the U.S. especially.

Lots to do within the city like

  visit White House, visit Capitol, Smithsonian, Arlington Cemetary, Great Zoo, Lincoln & Washington Memorials

   Great restaurants, near Cheasapeake Bay

think there is something to do for all ages!
