Wouldn't be Top 25 or 30 at his age- the guy couldn't make an NBA roster a year ago- be realistic.

  1. i'm a scottie fan, but honestly, its a hard question....maybe a top 20? im not sure about top 5 though...looking at other players today (lebron, chris paul, wade etc.) they carried their team in the playoff...yes, scottie did led the bulls during the jordanless era to the 2nd round against the knicks...but that was it. he is obviously a great defender then...guarding against magic, and mark jackson etc. its a hard question...just like, name the best nba player of all time: jordan, himself felt that it was not fair to give him that 'title' as he did not play against the other greats during his time etc...so...

  2. In my opinion, Scottie in his prime is today's Carmelo Anthony.  So if Mello is in the top 10 players currently, then I would have to rate Scottie the same.

  3. top 5 player in the league. he'll be the best one on one defender with  bruce bowen yet be one of the best offensive players as well with his passing and scoring. he'll especially help win playoff games since defense wins championships.

  4. Scottie Pippen would be an MVP candidate and Defensive Player of the Year candidate annually. 20 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6 assist, and about 2.5 steals per game were Pippen like numbers in his prime.

Think about it...he was comparable to Lebron as an all around player (just not as a scorer) and would be the best perimeter defender in the league today. How many players in the league today are that complete on both ends of the floor?

If I'd rank him with today's players, as of last season, I'd say only Lebron James, Chris Paul, and Kobe Bryant are comparable.

So I'd say anywhere from 3rd to 7th best player in the league.

  5. Well right now at his age and having all his skills decreased i would say top 25 or 30. But if you are talking about in his prime he would be a top 5 player in this league easily. There is nobody that Pippen cant guard, he is the greatest defender of all time

Alright then he would be a top 5 player in today's league

  6. Prime Scottie Pippen = T - Mac with wayyy..better defense!

To all the other Idiot's that know Nothing about basketball...

    1994 without Michael jordan Scottie Pippen = 22pts 8 rebs and 6ast...2nd in MVP voting!...and led the Bull's to a 55 - 27 record!......he was a top 10 player in his prime..some say he was top 3 player from 1990 - 1998.

  7. He would be a mixture between Grant Hill and Penny Hardaway with Ron Artest type of defense.  The problem with Pippen is, he hasn't really proven he can carry a team when it counted the most or Phil Jackson wouldn't bench him the crucial moments of a playoff game for Toni Kukoc.  I would say Pippen has more of a Lamar Odom mentality.  Great supporting player who is extremely versatile but lacks the killer instincts to carry and team on his back.  For that reason, I'd say he'll be more of a top 10 player today because the quality of talent is not as deep.  There is a surplus of good talent but not great talent.  If we were talking about the 1990's, Pippen would fall outside the realm of a top 10 player.

  8. i would rank him slightly ahead of marion, top 20.

i just dont see his defense as being as dominant since he wont be able to touch anyone anymore.

his offense was never that great, and you wouldnt want to build a championship team around him, so ill knock him down becasue of that.

  9. Scottie Pippen would be a top 30 player.

  10. depends on who is on his team..

  11. I'd rank Scottie Pippen ahead of Kobe Bryant.

Pippen makes better shots and plays way better defense, not to mention Pippen wouldn't cry, whine, and moan about not being the leader of the team.

  12. well where duz he play and wat team,,, in bball, a good player needs a good team to raise him uup

  13. i would put him on da lakers they r a gud team n he is a great player n he will go gud n do gud on dat team

  14. If Pippen we're in his prime now, he'd be an MVP candidate. I think there's only two players in today's game, at his position (the 2 or 3), you could compare to an in his prime Pippen (Kobe & Lebron). While Pippen does not have as deep of shooting range as those two, Pippen may be the best penetrater of the three. He's a top 5 player for sure. Guys like Tracy McGrady and Carmello would be referred to as "Scottie Pippen Light" if he was in today's game (in his prime).

  15. top 10 or 15 probably. hes like marion but better defense
