Where would you rate Detroit, Michigan as far as best sports towns?

I would rank it in the top 3 in the US.  It is hard to say what city is the best.  Other sports cities have their fair share of sports fans.  It is hard to find a city in the US that is so passionate about each of its 4 major sports teams.  You can definitely say that whatever Detroit team is playing, they are getting the support of the entire area and state.  

Usually, the football teams dominate the fans interests and some of the other teams in those cities do not get the attention (usually because they don't win).  I think you rank how good a sports town is by how attendance continues to remain stable even if the teams decline.  How loyal fans are speaks to how good a sports town is.  It is evenly spread throughout the Detroit 4 teams, but I am not sure I can say that about other cities.

Detroit is lucky to have 2 owners that want to win and have continued to make good decisions with money and personell.  The Ford's just don't get it.  Thank you, Mr. Illitch and Mr. Davidson!
