  1. Are you kidding me?? That fight dont deserve to be in

the top 100, let alone top 10,

    It was Boring as h**l

mayweather ran all night, both fighter's took barley

any risks, and all they did was use the freaking jab.

did not live up to ANY OF the hype

Any one who is stupid enough to pay 50 bills for the rematch

and expect to get anything different, You are just plain dumb

Styles makes fights, both these guys are BOXERS

so its just a god d**n chess match

  2. The fight was very dull, non-exciting, and only semi-competitive.  I would not rank it in the top 100 fights of all time; it is not even close in my eyes.  I did not think that it was a terrible fight, but when you consider all of the hype that it got, it just did not live up to it, and thats why most hardcore fight fans are not too excited about their rematch.  I mean, I'll still order the fight because I'm a die-hard boxing fan and I like both fighters, but I'll admit that there are way more exciting matchups out there than this one.  The only list that their first was rightfully on was the list for the biggest money-making fights of all time (it broke virtually all records) and it was good for the sport, but in terms of excitement, their fight was just an average fight that was not worth bragging about.  After the early rounds, the fight became very repetitive- Floyd would time Oscar and counter him with straight rights while Oscar stayed the agressor.  Hopefully their rematch in September can be a more intriguing fight, but I have my doubts, and I still think that Floyd beats him easier this time despite Oscar's performance over Steve Forbes.

  3. Not even top 100.  To paraphrase A. Lincoln "Those people came here expecting so much and we gave them so little."

  4. IT Ranks #1 on the Biggest let down List. DLH came to fight which i give him credit for But He past being able to hurt a fighter anymore its evident in the 10-12 straight punches he got on him and Floyd only spoke about it and didnt do about it.

As far someone cometing on the Ricky Hatton fight and saying Mayweather isnt a runner even in is Knockout punch he was moving backwards before taking a sidestep to get off his punch. Granted he's talented but theres no dening He Plain O' Boring and you also cant deny that Floyd ducks to much competion.

    Must REAd This Section:

Floyd says Cotto cant generate enoogh money to fight him and that he's all about the money but when it came to Margartio he turned down 8 Million to fight someone else for only 3 million  So ask yourself, Does he fight for money or are they just Excuses.

  5. i didn't think it  was a good fight at all oscar was alot bigger than floyd and he new it.thats why floyd ran many people dont understand this but floyd new that if he went straight at oscar he could get ko'd by a bigger fighter.i thought floyd fought a smart fight.many people say he runs but ask ricky hatton if floyd ran oh yeah ricky might not remember because he got knocked out.

  6. One of the worst ever! Floyd promised a fight and then ran. Just about everyone I know wanted to get a refund on their PPV. It emboldened the MMA crowd to proclaim boxing dead. It was an all-around travesty.

  7. i think you have to rate it in the top 50 because it was the most richest fight in boxing history, it was one of the most hyped up fights in boxing history.  De la hoya and mayweather the actual fight was a complete overhyped fight, but the money and the celebreties and the atmosphere made it a fight in the top 50 or even 20

  8. If we have to consider every other category it would be around the top 100's.  There are to many fights in history where it was literally do or die, meaning that each boxer were at their peak and no losses.  If De la Hoya would met with Floyd right before he fought Trinidad maybe then we could have said Top 50 maybe.

Don't get me wrong it was a "good" fight but way short of being a classic like say, Salvador Sanchez vs Gomez, Sugar Ray Leanard vs Tommy Hearns, Ali vs Frazier and the list goes on and on...

  9. No where near the top 1,000,000 fights of all time.

  10. it was a let down. oscar came to fight, floyd came to pot shot and stay away. it wont be no different in the second fight. floyd jsut dont take much risk which makes the fight very boring.
