Where would you recomend a young teen to volunteer?

i know that hospitals have a program but is there anything else? does a daycare let teens come volunteer? thanks

ck with Nursing homes they always need volinteers and the old folks like the company

You won't be able to volunteer with a daycare if you're under 16. In fact, most daycares don't allow volunteers who don't have a ECE (Early Childhood Education) certification. What about a children's hospital? I worked at a "regular" hospital from age 14-18 but I also volunteered at a children's hospital starting at age 16. Also, look into the Boys and Girls Clubs. They may let you volunteer with the little kids, but again you generally have to be 16 for these things.

You could be a leader for your local Scout group.

See if there is a Key-Club or some sort of service organization at the school.  If anything a Kiwanis or Lion's Club should have programs going on.  You may even want to join yourself.  There are plenty of things like highway clean-ups, hosital and nursing home visits, animals shelters, food pantries, and many others.  Best of luck and thanks for wanting to volunteer.
