Question:

Where would you say is the mildest area on the British mainland?

i donnt want to go abroad,but want to relocate to somewhere where the weather is better,as good as I could get in the uk.People say Devon,but its a bit touristy to me.I wondered if around Dorset ,around the Wareham,area,was as good.It is still the West country,isnt it? I would appreciate advice from locals.Thanks

  4. Your question is self-contradictory.

    The mildest part of the British mainland is the southern coast of Cornwall. But, being the mildest place, it attracts huge numbers of tourists.

    You see the converse is also true; one of the wildest areas of Britian is the northern coast of Caithness (next stop the Arctic Circle) - not a great number of tourists here!

  5. hi there Weymouth is a wonderful place to  re locate and the weather there is just as nice so thats my suggestion.

  6. Cornwall!! When i was little i used to love seing the palm trees in St Ives!
