Where would you think is the best vacation area in the U.S. (except for hawaii)?

My family and I are trying to decide on where to go over spring break! what do you think??? not disney or hawaii though!

I went to South Dakota when I was about eight, and it was DEFINITELY the best time I've ever had in my life!

I live in KY, and I've been from Wisconson to Florida, from Virginia to South Dakota. I've traveled a lot because of gymnastics (I don't anymore. D:)

But I got to see Mount Rushmoore, a ghost town and the Missouri Arch on the way there, I went to Bear Country (where you can actually drive through where bears, elk, goats, and more have no limits to your vehicle), the Badlands, and more! It was so fun! And we also discovered some history of mammoths (we went to a bunch of museums where we got to pretend like we were archeologists, it was so fun! That was my dream at the time!) and we discovered some Indian history too! IT WAS SO FUN!!!

Not to mention that South Dakota is safe, and not like Florida or something where you can get kidnapped or hurt. You can actually see the horizon setting in the plains where buffalo are free!!!! It's beautiful! There water is like Alaska's! It's so clear you can see the bottom!

New York City!!! The place has sooo many things to see, places to visit, foods to eat, stuff to buy, etc... This place will definitely have something for everyone. Spring break would be a great time to go since it shouldn't be too cold or hot.

I've visited NYC once for 4 days and there are sooo many things I still haven't done, so many places I have yet to visit. I can't wait to go back soon!

Then again, it depends where you live. I live in Southern California and there's plenty to do and see here.

The Grand Canyons are an awesome site, if you haven't been there before.
