  1. they originate from their mommy, there are in arizona, because our ancestors start to eat them

  2. You must have seen wild buffaloes or bisons or musk ox. Why do you waste your point on such things?

  3. surely they do and some researchers related it to lack of calcium but its not really the reason. i used to eat them too!  believe me

  4. The last European Aurochs, or wild cows, died out in Lithuania in 1627.

  5. Cattle are a domestic species that are not found in the wild. Their ancestor is the aurochs, a huge bovid that is now extinct. Humans domesticated them for their meat, milk and hides, and, through selective breeding, produced the domestic cattle we have today. It's the same process that turned the grey wolf into the domestic dog - humans domesticated wolves thousands of years ago to help them in hunting, and selectively bred them until they had produced all the hundreds of different dog breeds we have today. The same way you do not see packs of Rottweilers or Labradors roaming the wild, you do not see domestic cattle grazing the plains.

However, there are many species of wild bovid (animals belonging to the family Bovidae, of which cattle are a part), including African buffalo, water buffalo, bison, antelope, mouflon, mountain goats, and so on. The females of many of these animals are referred to as cows, as are female elephants, whales and certain species of deer.

  6. I know that there are feral cows (domesticated animals now living as if they are wild) in northern British Columbia (Canada). A colleague of mine had a contract to count them one summer. I'm not sure if that counts though, as they aren't really 'wild'.

  7. Cattle occupy a unique role in human history, domesticated since at least the early Neolithic. They are raised for meat (beef cattle), dairy products and hides. They are also used as draft animals and in certain sports. Some consider cattle the oldest form of wealth, and cattle raiding consequently one of the earliest forms of theft.

The word Cow or cattle refers specifically to the domesticated animal, therefore there is no wild cattle. There is however members of the same family (Bovidae) that live in the wild.

People domesticated these animals because they have many uses, including food.
